The magnetically mounted wireless strain sensor QE2008-W measures thestrain directly at the location where is mounted, providing a measurementthat has the same quality and performances as with bonded strain gauges.The Sensormate press-on technology implements a strain gauge positionedunder a stainless protective film. When the sensor is mounted on a metallicobject, the magnets hold so strictly that frictional contact occurs and allowsa reliable measurement.The mounting of the sensor is quick, simple and non-destructive, allowingfor an easy setup and increasing the daily productivity.The integrated electronics contains a state-of-the-art processing component,which allows hi-end measurements and wireless communication via theBluetooth 5.0 protocol. The adopted components allows for a low-energyoperation, extending the battery life to several working hours.An on-board accelerometer allows the user to check the correct mounting ofthe sensor and assure an accurate measurement result. The internal RAMmemory helps when a fast measurement is needed, allowing to store highresolution data.

Product Details:

The strain gauge sensor GE1029-A measure the surface-strain directly at the mounting location in the same quality as bonded strain gages. The integrated variable digital amplifier amplifies the signal on the spot, avoiding EMC problems. The sensor does not have to be recalibrated between remove and re-installation. The press-on technology, developed by Sensormate AG, presses the strain gauges under the stainless protective film so strongly against the surface to be measured that frictional contact occurs. The sensor is mounted using stainless steel straps, is non-destructive, very fast and simple. For each tie-bar diameter outside tolerance of ± 2.5mm a different pair of steel straps is required. The sensor can not be overloaded. The GE1029-A sensors require a cyclic reset.
